We enjoyed the location and the quaint nature of the terrace, however cleanliness was a bit of an issue. The BBQ had not been cleaned and had considerable solidified fat in the drip tray. I also had to sweep away considerable leaf litter in the courtyard before I could sit out there with a cuppa. The leaf litter was quite dried and "aged" and as such appears to have been there for some time. The fridge also leaks water overnight which I had to mop up each morning.

7.1 / 10 - Good

Parking was not onsite, pot luck up to a block away, not ideal if you have lots of luggage or if the weather is inclement.

Excellent location and quiet residential street. Visitor parking permit was very useful.

Beatrice Terrace is in a great position in Newcastle East and suited us perfectly for a winter weekend. I was told not to expect brand new which was fine cos 1885 is certainly not new. Lovely cute terrace with lots of character but well renovated for convenience.

Stephen was a legend, looked after our company's needs when we had unexpected extension of stays and other hiccups.

Loved: the location, great provision for a dog and walking distance to a dog beach, fully equipped, terrace charm, wifi worked well, great communication from the owner, quiet. Other things: didnít realise that parking would be such an issue. Very hard to get a park anywhere nearby. I shoved a plastic bag in the open mail slot in the front door while we were there - it could do with replacement of the swing cover (both for a greater sense of privacy and exclusion of critters). The fan in the second bedroom was noisy.

Great location, very clean and central, cool to stay in a historic home.
